JR. CABARET
June 18 – June 22

 

Monday to Friday 1:00 – 5:00

 

Grades 2 to 6

 

Tuition $100

 

In this workshop students will learn to sing and dance popular Broadway music.  Students will prepare a musical set to be performed at various events throughout the summer.  This will be a fast moving workshop so warm-up your voices, grab your dance shoes and be ready to perform!

 

CREATE A SET

 

July 2 – July 6

 

Monday to Friday 9:00 – 12:30

 

Grades 4 – 12

 

Tuition $100

 

In this workshop students will work with one of our main stage designers to learn how to design and create a set.  They will put their knowledge to work while creating a set for WYART’s production of A Year With Frog and Toad.  Students will work with the designer and production director to come up with a design.  They will then be responsible for the construction of all set elements.

 

STAGE MAKE-UP

 

July 9 to July 13

 

Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

 

Grades 3 to 12

 

$130 tuition (includes make-up kit)

 

In this workshop students will learn basic techniques for stage make-up.  They will learn styles and special topics in stage makeup such as bruises, scars or how to look like animals!  Students will use what they learn to make over students involved in WYART’s production of A Year With Frog and Toad.

 

PLAYWRITING

 

July 16 to July 20

 

Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

 

Performance July 20 @ 6:00 p.m.

 

Grades 2 to 8

 

$100 Tuition

 

Students will improv, write, star in and direct their own script in this 1 week, 1/2 day workshop!  Students will then perform their creation for their families.
